Yorkshire Terrier
is a dog breed of small toy dog breed from Lancashire and Yorkshire, England, bred from a number of other terriers, principally the Skye and the Manchester terriers. This long-haired terrier dog is known for its playful demeanor and distinctive blue and tan coat over it making it a cute pet. Yorkshire Terrier is not different from other terriers, are brave, determined, investigative and energetic.

Yorkie puppies are usually black & tan. The dog tail is usually docked to half its length. If the dogs are not for showing, the owners usually go for the shaggy look which make them their sweet Yorkie. The Yorkshire Terrier breed standard specifies that the dog should have a compact, athletic build suitable for an active lifestyle; and hold itself in an upright, confident manner.

Any solid or combination of colors other than blue and tan as described above is considered as disqualification for Yorkshire Terrier puppies . Any white markings other than a small white spot on the forechest that does not exceed 1 inch at its longest dimension is yet another.
